I see no mention of Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck or St Louis gueuze using the search function. Why is this?
There's no real reason for us excluding or including them. There are pages in the works, photos taken, and research being done, but it's not complete yet so we haven't posted it. Their history insofar as lambic goes is a bit convoluted so we want to make sure we present it in the right light.

It only took about four months, but here is our work up on "lambic" in West Flanders. It's a fairly short read on the main pages as well as on the pages that branch off of it, but worth knowing for historic and cultural context and it really leads into the next section we're working on about how modern breweries outside of Belgium are capitalizing on lambic's popularity today.

when did 3F stop making the fountains gueuze glass?

I don't know if they ever stopped, it's just that they may not make it very often. It's not a super uncommon glass to see around Belgium at bars and such.

ah, I thought it was just replaced by the "3" glass... so it should still be somewhat easy to acquire?

I don't know if it's "easy", but they're still around. Maybe it has been "replaced" by the '3' glass for the time being, bu I'm not sure the fountain glass is as old as everyone thinks it is.

yeah, I don't think it's that old but I thought it was recently replaced by the 3 glass..

Do people think it's old? Anything that shows up on Etre occasionally can't be that old.

Can also confirm the the fountain glass is standard for 3F beers at Akkurat, they've got a bunch of 'em.

I've tried to do some research on the Fountain Glass, however it's been very difficult to confirm anything. However based on what I recall the "3" glass replaced the Fountain around 2010. There were still some webshops selling the Fountain as late as 2011. So it's not as "old" and "vintage" as most people think.

In Belgium and some other world class beer bars in Europe the Fountain is still the main glass used, so its not uncommon to get a pour of 3F in one. However finding one for purchase has become difficult the last few years.

The Fountain is relatively difficult to trade for unless you go international. Most of the glassware people in the U.S. Have already traded away their extras and are holding onto the ones they have left. It seems the Fountain glass requires another vintage glass to land or more on the spectrum of a glasswhale as opposed to anything that can still be purchased somewhere. I've also seen them sold on the secondary market at widely variable prices; anywhere between $50-225 in the last year. So take it FWIW.

Are we talking about the tumbler:

Or the taster:

?

I'm not positive, but I want to say the tumbler is older. And from what I hear he prints pretty large runs of glasses and uses them until he needs more and the next run may be a different glass or design altogether. So every glass should be seen as limited run. Or at least that's what it sounds like.

I'm assuming they both are no longer readily available for purchase?

I see them pop up occasionally on Belgium ebay. Haven't seen one on etre in....2 years? Then again, that pool got muddled by too many buyers and it's likely I've missed them. Miss the old days of buying as much St. Lam as I could afford. No limits :(

I feel like I saw the taster somewhere recently but may be misremembering.
The taster was used at Toer de Geuze to pour samples of lambic for people who took the tour. There were many of those glasses lying around. Geuze and kriek were served in the 3 tumbler.

I meant in stock at a store.

Ah okay. But seeing there were so many left at the brewery I would think it is more easy to get than the fountain tumbler.

yeah, it seems easy if you have someone in Belgium that can locate one. Nothing online available for a while now.
