The "beer community" whatever the **** that is needs to kick out the Alstrom's. ******* **** Lords.
From what I understand, a lot of American brewers understand the Alstroms reputation and agree with that they are **** lords....but they also respect the additional business that BA can bring them, so nothing is done.

I mean, they run a legal website with user created content. It's not like brewers could do anything even if they wanted to.... unfortunately.

Ban the **** lords from ever stepping foot on their property is about the only thing they could do. Which I would naturally applaud and drink all their beer even if it's ******.

All this talk about **** lords makes me want a "BA **** Lord" beer now. Maybe de Garde will help this dream come true some day ;)

Screw you guys! Ill gamble and say it is.

Off to the liquor store to grab the other five from the cooler!

After my prior Lindemans questions and research looks like that's right. Thought I was lucky to see a '13 on the shelves the other day.

anyone know what no date means? i had a cassis from the same store a few months ago and could tell it was older because it tasted nothing like fresh ones but no idea how old because it literally had nothing. the only thing that was different was the cap witch had 'B-1602 vlezenbeek' on the top. same cap as these 2003 rene.. possible they are around the same time too? or was there a year they didn't date or what??

So at the Wild Friendship thing at RRBC yesterday, Jean served what he described as Grand Cru 4-year lambic aged in cognac barrel. The term "Grand Cru" had me thinking it was Bruocsella, but I guess that's not the case.
http://www.lambic.info/Cantillon_Cognac_Lambic doesn't seem to match his description.

Was there a written description or just his verbal explanation?

Even more confusingly, the menu for after the event (in the evening) calls it "Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella 4 year-old lambic".

Was it in bottles or keg? The thing with that cognac lambic entry is that it's sort of a catch all right now for all instances where lambic aged in cognac barrels appears.

Not certain, perhaps someone else can chime in.

I like the entry, it was helpful to reference prior to posting initially. I think it's a good way to track these sort of one off barrel aging experiments.
