hey everyone, new here to talk beer but a long timer from the other site. im planning a trip to come up to Tillamook for the DeGarde anniversary party. Do you guys think its going to be extremely packed and that i should get there even a couple hours early?
Well it definitely won't be CA-packed, but there will be a good amount of people there. There had to be 100+ people there at the last release (someone correct me if i'm off on that number). Bottles sold out within the first hour and the draft line never ended.

But like dimensionx said, the Keeper's pre-party is from 12-2, so that'll cut down the craziness when 2pm comes around for non-members. I think...maybe...

Tickers gotta tick and they probably won't be able to try everything during the keepers party so I'm sure some will stick around to try and savor those elusive ticks. I would guess there were closer to 300 people there last release, should be quite a few more this time around.

Things are easier here.

Things are better here.

We're working on increasing our space for the event, but im not holding out much hope.
It almost certainly will be very busy. We're adding a couple draft stations to try and keep those lines minimal, and with the keepers party earlier, hopefully bottle sales will go faster.
However, we just dont know. This looks to be a significantly larger turnout than we've ever had, but we are preparing as best we can.
If you wantv to be in quickly and possibly have the best selection of bottles (we are going to set limits such that everyone SHOULD get some), then perhaps earlier is better, but I'd hate to encourage anyone to wait for longer than necessary. Particularly when you cant consume in line.

Edit:
We estimate 200-300 folks at peak last time and are expecting half again that to double that this time. Maybe more. Probably more.
We are doubling the space in the brewery itself by moving out everything possible, and are doing our best to get permitting for the adjoining space.

Please dont. Camping in front of a business out here is likely to get you arrested. Not to mention I'd wager on rain more often than not.
Likewise, save the beer for inside. Its not just for our benefit and licensing, but to keep you out of jail. Their bottle share is not nearly as fun.

cops like donuts right?

Haha. Cool. I was joking....or was I?
But definitely don't wanna do a jail bottleshare. Their homebrew can't be any good

degardebrewing have you announced the next 2 keepers bottles? If so, what will they be? Are they available for PU at the anniversary party?

I'm too lazy to pull it up on Facebook but I recall one of the side project collabs being announced as a keeper beer a while back. IIRC it has elderflower? I may be totally wrong or things have changed but I remember seeing something regarding the side project collab and a keeper beer

That sounds right. Maybe both keepers bottles are side project Collabs this time around?

We're actually holding off on announcing the final bottles for the next couple weeks as stuff continues conditioning.
Our goal is to provide the best we can, not just a predesignated selection.
I will say that I THINK it will end up being a port barrel aged wild biere de garde and surprisingly another Berliner. The Chenin Blanc Imperial Bu is just singing, and given that its a single barrel, seems like s good fit.
I also think its the best berliner we've made thus far.
But my taste is horrible, so...

Those sound amazing.

Say the word and I'll give you open access to my bank account.

My wallet is hating me for deciding to go to your anniversary party

I probably already know this answer, but is it cash only?

Most likely, yes. We will be updating our FB event page in the next couple weeks with final specifics. And no, you do not need a Facebook account to look at the page.

Our brewery doesn't have a hard line for credit card sales, and mobile networks are beyond inconsistent in that area, potentially leading to longer waits and problems. Cash seems to be the best way to serve the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time.
