This thread has reminded me just how great the "homebrew culture" is. I look forward to checking it everyday, multiple times, not so much to score the next great giveaway, but to see just how cool other homebrewers are!

Cheers to everyone offering up their great stuff!!

Agreed, this is awesome.

I've had, on two separate occasions, HBT'ers send me something I've either needed or requested - completely free of charge (to an absolute stranger, me). They only asked that I pay it forward as well. :)

So here's mine. I have 1 universal poppet to anyone who needs it, free of charge, shipped.

I only ask that you respond to this if you genuinely need it (ie. you have one keg will not work unless you have this poppet) and of course .... pay it forward.

EDIT: Gone to I B Mongo

PM Sent. I could REALLY use it. Just had one go bad on me yesterday.

Well, I've been thinking about what I might be able to contribute all week, since I use pretty much everything I've got. Then someone asked about where they might find 1/2" SS washers for converting a cooler into a mash tun. Ha!! I bought a bunch of these for my own builds and have a bunch leftover!! So...

I'll send up to 6 stainless steel fender washers with 1/2" hole, used on Coleman, Igloo, and some other coolers. They WILL NOT work on Home Depot/Rubbermaid round coolers.

Can't send them until Saturday ;)

Cheers!!!

wow you guys are crazy! but in the less mentally disturbed way. any one in ireland or uk want to do some pay it forward??
if anyone is in the Galway area and would like some STERILE h2o (water) for car battery or rinsing sterile equipment there is some available for PICKUP ONLY due to it costing an arm and a leg to post. finished work now. might not reply to this till tonight

I was able to score some sour orange peel earlier this week from this thread and would like to offer something as well. I do not have much but I do have 2 lbs of Amber DME that is fresh and vacuum sealed, up for grabs..

Ok I have something coming to me so its time I start listing some things.
No ship - Live in Firestone Colorado (by Longmont)
75 quart Coleman Xtreme cooler converted into a mash tun. Includes stainless braid that has a coiled wire inside it to prevent it from collapsing. Valve is also included. I have filed the hollow lid with expanding foam to help keep the heat in. This thing can do 5 to 15 gallon batches and I would typically get 70-74% efficiency with a dual batch sparge. Sorry I won't ship, I live in Firestone Colorado (by Longmont) if you want to set up a pickup.

Hey ace is this still available?

Hey, some SS washers are the last thing I need for my MLT build. I would greatly appreciate them.

Is this open to new members? What a great concept! I'm brand new, green if you will, so I don't have anything to offer up. I would be thrilled if someone had a bottle capper of any type and maybe some caps to pass on, though! My kit did not come with those.

All are welcome here! I gave away my extra capper last year, sorry.

I have an old metal wing type capper I got as part of a bulk purchase. I'll take pics later. Not the best but it works.

Here's the capper. It's old and sticks more than a new one but it works. All yours if you want it gatormade.

oh my god how cool is that thing!! Nobody will ever talk smack to you while you are capp'n brews LOL

wow, did you get that from a moyles toolkit?

Hahahahahaha!

I took a picture of the wrong side I guess, because it's actually a JET bottle capper. I assume the same JET that makes the bottle washers. Anyway, i just got it a couple weeks ago when i bought a large lot of stuff from someone who said he hadn't brewed in at least 10 years. I did actually use it when i pulled a couple bottles out of a keg so I know it works. It is a bit rougher than my new red wing capper though.

If this thread lives long enough I'll have some more odds and ends out of that lot of stuff I'm sure. I just haven't had a chance to go through everything yet.

Geeze...I was thinking more along the lines of some sort of instrument of torture during the Inquisition!

I have a Ranco ETC 211000 up for grabs. It comes with sensor but no power cables. I do have the box and manual.

Heh. If he decides he doesn't need it, I'll take it. ;)

Was just about to buy a Ranco.

Man, I gotta check this thing more often!

That was a spare temp controller I've had sitting on the shelf for a year. This thread made me think it was time to give it up.
