Hi, I'm currently brewing my 3rd HME batch, which is an Oatmeal Stout. From experience, I recall most commercial stouts are less "bubbly" than other beer types. How much corn sugar should I put in for a 2 gal batch?

Also is there any chart available online for amount of sugar to put in for each beer type?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a good site. But one problem, it says "The typical range for each beer style (in volumes of CO2) is shown.", somehow Oatmeal Stout is the ONLY one that they don't suggest volumes of CO2 lol...

but I guess I can settle for other flavors such as sweet stout.

Thank you.

BeerSmith lists the range as 1.90-2.50 volumes... About the same as a sweet stout...

I would be careful of how high you carbonate it. I've had some brews that were much better off with lower CO2 volumes than you would think, being rather acrid with more CO2 volumes... This was made evident when I kegged and bottled my mocha porter. On gas, I have a tight control over the CO2 volumes. With bottles, not so much. Even though I target the same levels, the bottles (the ones I've had at least) are over carbonated. The brew on keg is simply wonderful since it's carbonated to where I want it (within a tight margin)... I even used the site posted, and a hyper accurate scale (used before with great results) to measure the sugar.
