Brewing Classic Styles Dry Stout. Bottle conditions to about 2 volumes, suprisingly pours/settles a lot like a Guinness.

Just a standard German flip top bottle. One more case and I won't have to worry about bottle caps anymore

I am calling it "Dave's Not Here IPA" as the inspiration was from a friend of mine named Dave and I thought the Cheech and Chong reference went nicely with him. However, I should have named it ZAC'S IPA as it has it has Zeus, Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoes in it. Only thing is I don't know anybody named Zac

Posted this in Yooper's recipe thread but thought I should post it here too. The beer on the left is my 60 min IPA and the one of the right is an actual DFH 60 min. Mine has only been in the keg for a week so it will clear up some more but other than that they are pretty much identical (especially in taste!):

Dangerous thread to flip through at 9:00 AM on Super Bowl Sunday. So many great looking beers, my mouth is watering. Can't wait for my beers fermenting and bottled to be ready to drink!

for being pretty dark dark brown/black in the glass, it looks pretty good up to a light.

it's only been in bottles for 10 days, and the head isn't very developed yet, but i wanted to taste my new recipe. the lacing is pretty nice, just doesn't stay long.
all in, all, i'm pretty proud of this one.

I stayed in Grand Island last November when I was doing some work at the ethanol plant in Wood River...I really liked the IPA and Vanilla Porter from Thunderhead Brewing (in The Chicken Coop)!

that's my local!! - the coop is great food great beers.
i play cards there on tuesdays!
thunderhead's IPA's are all awesome, and the vanilla and the 85 shillings are two of their best.
