Saw this, didn't know if any brewers had experience with this stuff (I do not) or if it would be something that would serve electric brewers in some capacity; possibly prevent damage of electrical components.

Looks neat.
 
I bought some and have used it for other stuff, but I'm not sure what part of brewing I'd use it for. Wouldn't trust it around heat or anything that comes in direct contact with the wort or grains... I WOULD however coat my drip tray off my kegerator with it, to keep anything from accumulating in there... I have a project for when I get home!
 
How would it stop stuff from accumulating? It would just push the spilled beer into whichever corner was lowest and mold would still grow on top of the puddles.

It would be neat if it were food safe. It says no bacteria can grow on the surface where applied. meaning no more cleaning hoses, fermentors, hydrometers, siphons,..etc

By eliminating the surface tension, it might help more stray beer find its way to the drain vs just sticking to the drain. Granted, if yours is installed crooked or lop-sided with low points, then it won't do anything for you other than helping you wash the stuff out with water.

Just because bacteria doesn't grown on it doesn't mean stray yeast can't accumulate on it, so you'd still have to clean. Granted, a quick spray down would probably be quick enough.
 
I couldn't speak to the relative size of yeast and bacteria...

My point was simply that the ability of a product to resist the growth of bacteria is not the same as the ability of a product to resist the accumulation of wild yeast or other nasties. You could have a pile of bacteria-free dirt sitting on a surface coated with never-wet - I wouldn't call that clean or sanitary.
 
Obviously you would still need a quick rinse to wash any gravity-defying sanitized piles of dirt off.
