You know it was very nice and that veranda was off the hook. In this pic you can see my reflection in the building across the street. The veranda I’m standing on is the length of the picture. The only complaint I had was there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.

Yep, that's the skyline of some bit of Venus. Hardest place we've landed a probe so far. Things were built like tanks and survived about an hour or so.

Spindly pines and lots of open space beyond it... a lake, maybe a bay on the ocean? American vehicle. Don't recognize the bird symbol and definitely can't get much from the lettering on the side, if that's even what it is.

You might want to look up where the 1956, 2006 and 2026 Winter Olympics were/will be held.... Also the 2019 Winter Deaflympics‎, 2020 Biathlon World Championships, several Alpine World Ski Championships (most recently 2021), several Winter Universiades and the Stelvio, a regular round of the downhill World Cup.

But yeah, that looks like mud - or more precisely a river shaped mainly by melting snow from the Alps.
