And that runway looks a bit nutty
As in TEN MOST DANGEROUS! Yikes! I found another view of it. It's far worse than the first picture makes look.It is an airport, not in Alaska. Nutty yes as I think it makes the top 10.

Busch Gardens, Van Nuys, CA?
i was actually looking for the hills....No hills that close to Bush Gardens, looks like somewhere San Diego way (South).
no... i just posted a pic of the road i bunny hopped my bike across in personalities thread.....right next to it if that helps...Calabassas, CA
I was actually thinking it looks a lot like where a buddy of mine lives in Poway, but there are no ponds/lakes/rivers near him.
Take a second for a second thought. Have a beer while you do this. I suggest a Coors would be appropriate.well my first thought was utah esque...and ogden, utah looks similar?
Well, I didn't actually mean to answer; I meant to give @bracconiere a clue to use.DB got it even though he didn't actually use the name. It is Golden, Colorado and the industrial building under the mesa to the left side is the Coors' Brewery.
That's because I took a learning journey to get the answer. I started out with a search for "abandoned coast defense gun" and got to Fort Winfield Scott, Battery Chamberlin. It looked much like the posted picture, but not quite right. Wound up learning about Endicott era guns and the batteries around San Francisco Bay. Eventually found a match. Enjoyed the trip, so thank you @tracer bullet. That's a ton of detail! Yes it is.
