I just want to say those were back to back posts, and that's why i was scouring south america!

Everyone is close, but no correct answers yet. Hint: there is a koala sanctuary on the hill.

Currumbin? That's further down on the next hill after that more distant beach over yonder.

Let's get this one over with. The hill that is prominantly the picture is Burleigh Head National Park.

Recognized the statue as Giger's style and a bit of searching tossed up a longer view on the Wikipedia article.

Here's my one.

I looked up Santa Cruz, where they filmed part of Lost Boys a long time ago - nope, don't think so.
And Asbury Park, New Jersey from Dogma - nope, don't think so.

Sunlight / shadows imply the sun is off to the right in this picture, and so this beach might be facing south if it's in the Northern Hemishphere. Or north if in the southern. East / West coasts might be wrong from the get-go.

Doesn't strike me as New Orleans or Florida or anything at the top of the Gulf Of Mexico.

I'm out of ideas, someone else will have to do it.

Apparently I have no idea what I actually did. If I remember correctly, Columbus was there, but my obvious choice had to do with China and Vietnam. Not on this screen though.
