A little out of the way on that trip, but not too bad... Unless you were taking your time and taking the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Nice. The Parkway is a beautiful drive. Came back part of it from the beach this past summer and stopped at an overlook or two.

In that area, you can quickly drive to Boone's Mill and go to Chaos Mountain Brewing or Franklin County Distillery, too.

My visit to Chaos Mountain was great. I like their wee heavy a lot and speaking to the owner/brewer really grew my appreciation of what he is doing.
