Built in Palm Beach in 1896 by Flagler. It’s still one of the best resorts (& expensive) around. I’ve been there numerous times for various meetings..

I think that's easy for someone who's been there, but virtually impossible to figure out otherwise. Of course that's where the hints come in.

I've been to a lot of places...but there are exponentially more places I haven't been to.

Any guesses on my picture above? It's famous too. LOL! No, really it is.

No guesses?

Here's hint #3: It is currently 10:17 PM CST. If you have a satellite dish and you subscribe to a movie channel, a movie is coming on within the hour that was shot here. The prominent church is in a number of scenes (both inside and outside).

EDIT: Hint #4: 12:30 AM...the movie is over. Sorry.

I guessed a city that it looked like then used google to look at churches in that town. Think I found it but it feels too much like cheating.

Not at all. What you can't do is, essentially, right-click a picture and choose "Search Google for image". If it's a personal picture, Google will try to guess what it's a picture of, or if the person got their pic from the internet, google will identify it for sure. That's cheating.

Everything else is fair game, especially what you did, which was just to confirm your guess before posting it, so the 'internet told you' you were correct rather than the poster.

And since I'm on about this topic anyway...

Googling things in the photos adds to the fun, like if you spot a car you may google its sales, or a franchise to see where it has the most locations (or where it doesn't have locations, to elimate cities).

My two cents.

Mexico- San Miguel de Allende

CORRECT.

It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and was voted as the World's Best City in 2017 and 2018. The movie filmed here was "Once Upon A Time In Mexico". It is one movie from Robert Rodriguez's Mariachi Trilogy. It features Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas, Selma Hayak, Danny Trejo, Mickey Rourke, et al. There are an estimated 7000 American and Canadian expats who live here year round and over 12,000 in the winter months. I was 56 y/o when I went there and I stayed in the Alcatraz (Pelican) hostel for under $10/night.

The other city it was filmed in was the capital of Guanajuato (another UNESCO site). I spent another 5 days here. I stayed at another hostel and I was the only resident in the building the entire time. I was there in February and it was 85F the entire time. I asked about this and the owner says they fill up fast during Spring Break.

Both are great walking cities, but they are hilly.

Both are 2 of the 3 cities where the Mexican Revolution started, the main one being Delores to the north.

Delores was renamed Delores "Hildalgo" (the priest who started the Revolution) and SM added "de Allende" (a prominent general). An interesting history if you're into that stuff...which I am.

Jack13: Your comments are correct. I did take this picture. I was in SMdA & Guanajuato back in 2011.
