Ok, this one may be pretty easy.

Yes it is. You're up passedpawn.

I've never been to Toronto. I searched "flatiron buildings" and boom.

The first pic below was the beginning of the day (thought we might be in trouble with weather). Second picture was later on the same journey. I've got a third picture of the brewery we paddled right up to if we need it.

Willamette River?

nope.

Well I just realized that the 2nd pic obviously wasn't the Columbia. I'm currently looking for golf courses ;).

I thought the brewery comment was the clue. We literally paddled right onto the brewery premises.

In fact, we had just gotten off a plane from FL, and everything we had was stowed in those kayaks (which we rented from an outfitter). We didn't even return the kayaks (left them at the brewery).

When I called and arranged the kayaks (from FL), and told him where we planned to kayak to, he told me that although it was technically possible, he didn't know of anyone who had done it before due to flow and shoals issues. It wasn't that bad, but we did have to line our kayaks past one or two un-navigable obstructions. Pulled into the brewery just as night was falling.

Second picture looks like Mirror Pond, Deschutes river Bend Oregon, but does not explain the big lake or wide river in the first photo.

Still looking, either way I want to go with you on your next vacation.

You started on Lake Washington, paddled past the bridge at Wayne Public Golf Course on the Sammamish River and paddled all the way to Red Hook Brewery?

If I am right an impressive adventure and I would need to train to join you on any adventure like that.

Haha, YES! Upriver on the slough became a challenge when it narrowed, but it was a great day. We did some paddling in the Puget sound as well.

Good job. You're up.

Looks like an awesome trip. Since you mentioned shoals and tides I figured it must have been up in the Puget Sounds, so I looked at golf courses near waterways in the Puget Sounds then I looked for the same on Lake Washington. I know the area fairly well, having been trying to plan a sailing trip up there for "one of these days."

Here is my photo. I have tried to load this twice yesterday and just realized it is saved as a Tiff. Let see if the jpeg works.

Zion National Park?

Damn that was too easy. But how did you know?

This is Kolob Canyon an almost never visited back side of the park. There is no ranger station or entry fee to get into this side of the park. You can not even see these rock faces when driving past it on I-15. I only knew about it because I flew past while flying from Cedar City to St. George.

I trekked in the park many years ago and will never forget that site! The geology really gave it away, too. Am I to post the next "skyline"?
