Well it doesn't look like Pier 39 to me, but it looks like it's along that area.

Crissy Fields has a much closer and less encumbered view.

I recognize the angle and figured it was the Maritime museum in the left side of the photo, which I thought was closer to Chrissy Fields. Growing up across the Bay I always avoided Fisherman's Wharf when I went into the city, too touristy.

Wailea, Maui in case there is more than one.

Well, that was quick. At least I didn't make people take tens of posts to identify an obscure castle in southern Germany this time.

It's Maui. It's a bit more north than that (around the Lahaina area), at least I think... Tough to remember exactly which direction I was pointing at the time from the parasailing boat ;)

But yeah, you're up.

Just to clarify, the two pic you posted are of the same thing? Same mountains?

Photopilot beat everyone to it...

Essentially it's just "Maui". The pic of shore is explained above, as my girlfriend and I were staying in Kaanapali and we were on a boat launched from that area.

The second pic is sunrise at the top of Haleakala. After that pic was taken, we took an epic hike through the crater. Good times.

I got married and honeymooned there in 09'. At one point we drove around the entire island. The terain in the top picture reminded me of the landscape coming around backside from Hana. Pretty barren considering how lush other parts of the island can be.

I did not make it up there but assume the second photo is sunrise from the volcano?

Searching for a new photo to post.

I am running out of images that may pose a challenge. I imagine this could be guessed without any clues.

Methodology... I looked up the Fremont Bridge as MagicMatt guessed, and pretty quickly saw that it wasn't the same bridge. So I did some searching for that type of bridge (steel tied arch bridge) and found that the bridge at Newport Harbor looked about as close to identical as I could find...

Passedpawn gets it right! You're up, pp.

Here was the other picture I was saying would give it away immediately...

That was a complete WAG based on your response to the Hong Kong guess, and the fact that it was new wealth (I figured China or S Korea).

Somebody should get this one pretty quickly. Name the street and city.
