I just read the rules about not using Google Images. I will disqualify myself if someone else wants to go, or we can go on with my challenge. :) Either way works for me.

I think we've all agreed that searching on Google is allowed as long as you're inputting search terms manually... The only thing to really avoid is right clicking a picture and selecting "search on Google"
Because that runs the photo through a recognition algorithm.

Using search terms to identify buildings is perfectly ok as I understand our earlier discussion

what I was trying to say, but much more coherent than what I said

Seems like that fits... and it's a stone's throw from where the poster's from... doh! I'd love to know what those glowing red things are and what kind of boat, if that's a boat, that is in the foreground.

There's a walking pier out there. I think the red lights are navigation to warn boats away.

Yup, we have a heat/humidity wave here in WI so I'm going to brew early in the morning while it's below 90ish.

OK. I'll give it to you. It was the Chattanooga shoreline as seen from the north shore at night. :) Market Street bridge is off camera to the left. :)

Wow, I was sure I could clearly see the arches of a bridge back there. Are you sure that's not Market St Bridge? Here's a couple of pics of it below. BTW, I know you live there, and you should know, but I'm just really surprised that the bridge in these pics below aren't the same as the bridge in your picture.

Also, I found it pretty quickly by just looking at your profile info and searching arched bridges in chattanooga. This one popped up. I thought it was a match.

Wish I would have checked the posts out today, that's my neck of the woods and I got the last Chattanooga one right.

And I'm guessing you're on Fisherman's Wharf?

I think you have the city right but I'd say Chrissy Fields for a local.

In case its not SF i'd guess somewhere in Seattle.

I take back Seattle, because yes the Golden Gate is still in the Bay Area.

San Francisco.

You can make out the Golden Gate bridge there in the distance.

Yepper. I had just ate at Scoma's and saw this boat there - my wife's name is Audrey, so I snapped the pic. I think Alcatraz water tower is poking it's head over that breakwater, to the right, but I could be wrong about that.

It's the wharf (or close enough; this boat was right next to Scomas which is right not actually on the Emabarcadero, but right next to it).

Okay, this one shouldn't be *that* hard, and I'm giving two pictures... The picture of the shore doesn't give away the skyline that much, but if you know the area where I took the sunrise picture, you should be able to nail it. And I'll bet more than a few people have been here.

I added the Kerouac quote to this pic because I think it very well suited my mindset while taking it...
