Indeed, it is.

Tying @govner1's Fort Macon in North Carolina to my earlier clue of Fort William Henry in New York.

A handful of falls, including quite clearly Hickory Nut, in western NC are featured in the movie Last of the Mohicans.

Palm Springs area is too far East. Somewhere between LaVerne and PS. And I'll give you that it is a golf course. LOL.
