mypin K thermocouple

I bought a mypin PID controller and it came with a K style thermocouple. I am thinking that I will weld a coupler to my electric keg to mount this. Is this correct? is there a way that it should be mounted that I am overlooking because...it spins in the fitting it came with. so the question is, how do I seal the fitting once installed. HELP!

Install a thermo-well and just slide the thermocouple in it when you need it. Much easier than screwing the K-type in and out for cleaning.
