got my grains and when I got home I noticed the weyerman dark munich malt was 15L, not the 9 or 10L that I had been shopping for. Is that enough of a difference that I should back off the 10lbs my recipe calls for and sub in some lighter grain, to balance it back to a 9L state? Does that make sense? Im just not sure how much of a difference that Lovibond number makes?

So for just a reference, a 5 gallon batch with just 10 lbs of 15L Dark Munich would give you 15.4 SRM beer, 10lbs of 9L would come out to 10.8 SRM. So what's your recipe's expected SRM? You can assume you will come out 4-5 points darker. As long as it still keeps the beer in the color range for a dunkel, then all good.
