Heading up tomorrow for a quick day trip to check out a couple machines. Gonna be coming home most likely through 71. Just looking for some bottle shops or possibly a brew pub to swing by on the way home. Let me know :) Or if anyone wants to meet up for a beer as I pass through that'd be cool too.

Man, I wish I didn't already have plans tomorrow. If you haven't been there before, you should definately check out Barley's (1130 DUBLIN RD, COLUMBUS). They have a bunch of stuff they brew and a good selection of other Micros. They usually have something in the cask also. If you get there before 7 some of the beers are only $3. On a side note, it appears I have 100% approval for for the brew day on the 25th from SWMBO.

sweet. 25th is on for me also. Remember your carboy, or I'll just have to send you a 12ozer when it's all ready :) I've okayed' the modified recipe with BierMuncher and got his approval so we should be good. I've been to barley's before. I'll check that one out if there aren't any more options. Just want to try something new

Do you swing through columbus often? If so, I would definately be up for a few beers at Barleys (or where ever), almost any other time (daughter has swim lessons on Tuesday nights). Did you post the recipe anywhere?

BTW I have plans to pick up a new carboy for the Brew Day. Figure I should probably have a few spares in cases like this.... :mug:

No it's BM's recipe, Just going to add 2lbs of Rauchmalt to the current recipe..

I should have something on tap when ya come down. At least a Phat Tire Clone and maybe some Black Pepper Wit from BM as well if there's any left :) Hope to get my apfelwein bottled by then as well. Should be a good time.

And we come up to Columbus sometimes to visit friends but it's usually the south side in Clintonville.

We live in Hilliard, so we aren't too far from Clintonville. There are a few other microbrews that I like (IMHO Barleys is the best): Gordon Biersch ( in arena district) & Columbus Brewing company (Brewery district). The Winking Lizard has a really nice selection of micos and obscure commercial stuff also. I am looking forward to meeting up. I will bring you a few bottles of my stuff for you to sample.

My trip actually got moved till tomorrow, so If you wanna try and grab a beer on my way home that works. Not sure what time or anything but I could give ya a call.
