Also have two project bikes...an '82 GS750E and a '41 BSA M20

Let's see the M20.

Here's my (mostly) WD M20 from 1944.

The engine, transmission, oil tank, primary, front frame loop and front end are original. A previous owner put the plunger rear section on. I came up with the tank, seat, bars, headlight, wheels and fender. Nowhere near orignal but it's fun to put around on.

Let's see the M20.
Here is what I started with:

And this is where I left off...need to get back to it.

Not looking to do a 100 point restoration...just make it a mostly complete runner...

Here's my (mostly) WD M20 from 1944.

Very cool!!

My $500 1979 BMW R80 airhead. My buddies neighbor had this sitting in her garage for over 8 years and gave it to him, didn't even know if it ran. He sold it to me for $500 and I changed all the fluids and fuel lines and it fired right up! The engine is a '78 R80 and the frame is an '81 R100, but it's titled as a '79. Don't know the story behind it from that, but it has run like a champ for 3 summers now, starts every time!

I also have a '97 Kawasaki YZ80 bored out to 94cc with race pipe, suspension, etc. that screams with my fat a$$ on it. Previous bikes: '87 Suzuki LS650, '83 Honda CM250, and '79 Suzuki TS125.

I've already posted a photo of my bike [see post #220]. Just an update...my wife and I got back home on Wednesday afternoon after a 15-day bike trip to see two of our four daughters. The trip took us from Marengo, Illinois [near Rockford] to Cedar Hill, Texas [a southern suburb of Dallas], on to New Orleans, LA and then back home.

The ONLY problem the entire 2800 miles was one of the two "driving light" bulbs burned out. Since Honda uses a two-filament bulb, I need to grind off the tab and reinstall it rotated 180° but that will wait until the cool weather moderates a bit!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and only had ONE day of rain, and it never got us really wet. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

I sold my last bike, a 2008 Honda Shadow 750 to fund my cobra.

I really missed the 2 wheels though so I bought this. My single car garage is just wide enough to hold them both. Specs say I should get 90mpg but the reality (my fat ass) is that it's closer to 60mpg.

Just for S&G, this is what selling my Shadow helped get:

BMW engine manufacturer dates are the build year, not the sale year. Ie. You're 78 engine was sold in 1979. Anyway, very nice bike. I still miss my 1986 R80. Airheads are delightful soulful bikes.

2800 mi with minimal weather issues is a win! Safe riding...

Update, traded my Honda 919 in on a cruiser, yes i'm getting old. I must say this thing is a hoot, it will get to 100 in a hurry with arm stretching torque, and it handles very well for a pig. 2007 Yamaha Warrior.

My first non-Harley... an experiment in customizing and hot-rodding a metric. I fell in love with this '99 Roadstar when she was stock, on the Yammie dealer's showroom floor. So I took her home and tore her apart. I think she's happier now.

My dog keeps hounding me to get a sidecar for my bike. I'd love to, but $$$. Heading off for a week long, 4 state ride Monday. If I keep adding up how much boarding him costs I may be able to rationalize the investment :cross:.

One of two 03 BMC Big Daddy the other is an O4 Road King Custom.

My first bike, 09 Suzuki gladius. Great size, comfy and plenty powerful for a first timer! The exhaust is an IXIL hyperlow that I bought myself for my bday

excuse the garage mess, Im in the process of cleaning and reorganizing so I have room for the bike.

Here's mine:

vulcan1.jpg

Since this picture was taken, I've sold the Magna (the one in the back). But I still ride my Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic FI.

I'll get a better picture of it sometime this summer.

I was thinking of upgrading, but we'll see how expensive my basement sauna project becomes this year.

My new 2012 Honda CBR250R. Great on gas and faster than my old Kawasaki KZ750 ltd.
