That's why threads like this are pointless(we is human after all). Just another anonymous internetling looking to be better than the next guy.

You're right, it is pointless. As long as the main point of a post is made, who gives a **** if propper grammar and spelling are used.

It is ironic to misspell grammar when correcting one' s grammar, though.

Grammar, spelling...whatever. I gave up on most of that for people long ago. Alll I know is I better be correct or SWMBO kicks my ass.....retired English Professor. And as she says..

"We can fight ingorance and correct it. I can't say we can do much for stupidity.":mug:

From the last thing you posted, trying to bum someone's step-bit.....

What's a nuck? What's the exchange rate between a nuck and the U.S. dollar?

Oh, and "long-term" needs a hyphen.

That second sentence is atrocious, as well. It should be:

Since you only propose borrowing one step-bit, you'd be sending "it" back, not "them."

GOD, there's nothing more annoying than grammer/spelling Nazis. Especially ones who can't spell and who write poor sentences.

****! You got me there, sir. ******* YOU GIN AND THE DROID'S TINY A$$ KEYBOARD!! Touche! (I don't know how to add the accent over the letter e in that word, for the record.)

Sometimes a comma makes all the difference.

Go help your uncle Jack, off the horse.

No. That example is about punctuation. The comma you put there is incorrect.

The should read "Go help your Uncle Jack off the horse."

(Or possibly "Go help your uncle jack off the horse," but that would be if your uncle was a horse breeder)

And what is the point of calling someone a ******?

This thread is in the Drunken Ramblings and Mindless Mumbling section for a reason! :mug:

You could help your Uncle Jack off a horse if he was in the mafia as well.

Why does uncle jack need off the horse anyway? Can't he just fall off?

I thought the correct sentence should have been "Go help your Uncle jack off THAT horse." Otherwise, how are you to know which horse?

Because if he was on a horse, you'd be aware of what horse he was on. You wouldn't need to specify which horse he was on at that moment; quantum teleportation aside.

Well that is assuming he is ON said horse. There isn't anything mentioned to suggest that he's ON the horse, only that he needs help jacking one off.

What? This is like any other sentence that refers to a noun. You can use "the" if it's clear from context. Otherwise you specify.

If you need to specify which horse he should jack off, well.... I guess there's deeper issues at play than proper grammar ;)

This. For example, if it happens to be the only horse around.
