Hi Gang...

I went to go brew this afternoon, and when I put my specialty grain bag into the water I noticed that there was a patch of dark grains on the bottom of the bag. I couldn't tell if it smelled moldy because it got wet, but I don't even know what moldy grains smell like!

Could this be moldy grain, or do you think that my HBSS had some chocolate malt grain dregs in the mill when he filled my grain bag? More importantly, do you think this is gonna F with my final beer (what is supposed to be a Trippel)? The steeped grains looked pretty brownish. Could this make a nice high gravity Belgian Brown Ale?

Probably dregs, but it doesn't sound like enough to be a problem.

One of the LHBS has two mills, so the specialty grains don't contaminate the base malts.
