I've been drinking "Snakebites" at my local pub. Its a mix of stout and pear cider. I have been toying around with the idea of brewing a stout and mixing it with blackberry cider made from berries that I have picked. I've never tried this before, so I'd love some input.
Here is the plan:
I'm going to buy this kit:

Then I'm going to make some blackberry cider:
20 lbs blackberries
Water up to 5 gallons
Sugar up to 1.090 SG (Ok, its more of a carbonated wine)
Cote des Blancs yeast
My plan was to do both primary and secondary fermenting for each, then mix them right before I bottle. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm afraid the yeasts won't play nice together.
