I was cleaning out some old cornie kegs I picked up a few months ago, and realized that two of the kegs don’t have gas dip tubes. Are these easy to come by at LHBS’s? Even better yet, are they even necessary? As long as the gas is being released into the keg through the poppet valves it should be good right?

If you can get the plug to seal without the tube, then you are fine. In some kegs, the o-ring by itself isn't enough.
