I just realized today that when I bottled an oatmeal stout 5 days ago I used the full 3/4 cup amount of corn sugar in the kit, but only bottled around 3.6 gallons of beer instead of the 5 it was supposed to be. How large is the risk of bottle bombs in this situation? Should I vent and recap?

Oh, and in case it makes a difference, my final gravity only got down to 1.018 when it it was supposed to be 1.016-1.012.

Keep it in a cooler location than room temp. Around 60 degrees and below if possible it may avoid bombs going off but the beer will be over carbonated. So when you open and pour that first one make sure it is nice and cold. Pour it and then let it come to serving temp.
