As the title implies, I am looking for recommendations for mini fridges out there.

Here is the order of my preference:
1. The ideal candidate would be one that could hold three 5-gallon corny ball-lock kegs (9" diameter, ~26" high) and a 5 lb CO2 tank. I realize there are probably very few models out there that would support this affordably.
2. Fridge to hold three corny kegs with the CO2 on the outside.
3. Fridge to hold two corny kegs and the CO2 on the inside.

I understand that it is very easy to go down the chest freezer route, but I am looking into the fridge options first. I see someone mentioning a Haier fridge that could do three kegs and a CO2 tank in this thread. Anyone know the model of that one?

Any suggestions on this? What models are most popular currently? What do you use? Even if the three keg route isn't going to be feasible, I'd still like to hear suggestions on the best two keg route out there. Thanks!

Most of the mini fridges I have seen have that hump in the back behind the bottom shelf where the compressor and such are. Generally limiting you to 2 kegs and a co2(if you are lucky). Why not a chest freezer and convert it? They are about the same price and size limitations are much less.

Thanks for the reply. I have already converted a chest freezer to use as my fermentation chamber and it does work great. I just wanted to first look into fridge units so I wouldn't have to build another temperature control unit and potentially build a collar.

So i did a little searching, lots of people use the danby 4.4cf fridges but those are running around $229 right now.

Also i had a temp controller on mine for a long time(retired old fridge) then found that when set at setting 2 it kept my brew at 37 degrees... Lucky I suppose. Good Luck

Thanks for the research on that! My ball lock kegs seem to be 9" in diameter when you take into account the flared rubber bottom. I basically want to find the smallest size fridge/freezer that can accommodate three kegs, even if that meant having the Co2 on the outside.

The only problem I see with converting a chest freezer is the additional costs will probably bring it up to around the same cost anyways. The Perlick faucets run like $40 each, I would want to paint the white fridge black, and the collar would run a decent amount too.

I appreciate the reply.

I'll keep on the search. Un

If you can find a danby 4.4 without a freezer or similar brand you could fit 2 5 gallon cornies with the co2 bottle inside (that's what I do). Or, you can get 1 5 gallon and 2 2.5 gallon kegs. Mini fridges are small. Getting something to fit 3 5 gallon kegs would be impressive.

But I recommend the 4.4 without a freezer there are a tin of brands with the same fridge. There's even s thread somewhere about them. I think the model I have is: ModelDAR044A5BSLDD

I cut out the door and got mine on sale for 129 from the beverage factory cuz of a dent I can't find. Best bet for what you want I think.
