Just don't be like the guy where I used to work. He had 4 kids and got snipped, but failed to go back for evaluation. And I'm sure you won't be surprised when kid #5 started baking in the oven a month or two later.

If you're going to go through the process, at least make sure it's done right!

Probably was done right, but it take a few months to clean the pipes. Doctor probably even told him and everything. +1 to the trust but verify advice though (i.e. get tested).

I had the procedure about a month before #3 was born... I figured I wouldn't be getting any for a while anyway, so the timing was right

I got it done in 04, two years after my second kid. I was 34 at the time. It took about 20 minutes, no pain. I had it done on a friday and spent the weekend chillin at home with bags of frozen peas on my junk and then, back to work on monday.

If you really are sure about no kids, do it.

I had it done last friday, took about 15 minutes. I spent the weekend chillin (literally) and back to work this monday. 95% of the pain was the day of the procedure, recovery since then has been fast and not too bad at all.

If you are sure you dont want more kids, go for it.

I got snipped at 23 or so. Kids being the worst and all that.

It did kinda hurt on one side, immense pressure. Wasn't that bad though, and it was over quick. Iced junk and wore a jock watching movies for a weekend then was back to normal. I do have one side effect though... if I don't blow a load for a solid week or so I'll have a slight pressurized discomfort the next time I have sex. Nothing regular activity or a quick hand party can't solve.

The only thing a vasectomy removes from the equation is the semen. Semen makes up a very small, extremely small, portion of ejaculate. The semen is still produced, it just doesn't have a path to the urethra. It doesn't build up, it gets absorbed.

Hormonal birth control has tons of negative side effects, one of which is reduced libido. Tubal ligation is a much more complex and risky operation than a vasectomy.

I'm not trying to single you out, but any man that's too chicken **** to take responsibility for permanent birth control and instead place that burden on their partner are being stupid, selfish and weak.

There is a really big percentage of people here in Finland who don't have their first child or even consider getting married until after they are 40.

Got mine done 6 months ago. Best thing I have ever done for our relationship. Her birth-control pills would play havoc with her hormones. Being in the mood maybe 3 nights a month. It was well worth my testicles resembling a avocado for a week.

I was snipped after our first. My wife was never supposed to have a child, so ours is kind of a miracle. It was no problem though... My mother worked for the Urologist, so it was free (sweet!)

I got a valium before, but did nothing for me (I really feel Im impervious to meds).... I was numbed (Lidocaine is acidic so that's why there is a stick and a burn) and he went to work. Told me not to chop any wood, and released me. I walked out to my wife, and I drove to Shallos for multiple beers and a tenderloin sandwhich... I was back in the gym in a week. Balls were pretty blue though

Sperm is a small portion of semen. Semen=ejaculate. Sperm are the cells that get you pregnant. Semen is all the other fluid. When you have a vasectomy the sperm cannot enter the semen/ejaculate and you are effectively sterile.

Before my wife permanently decided not to add to our three teens, she had a coil. Coil is a very tiny device that is implanted into the uterus and about 99.9% effective with no side effects, and it's good for 5 years. When she made the decision, she went to get the coil removed and just got her tubes tied.

That last bit was too far for sure, especially in my case and likely in many others - if you have never heard of condoms or just refuse to use one then maybe it is you who is stupid, selfish and weak.

I had mine done about 16 years ago. Pretty much the same as everyone else, done on Friday, frozen peas on your junk, sitting around all weekend, wearing a jock to support the boys. Mine did bruise and looked horrible for a while.

About a week after, I was lying in bed with my youngest daughter reading her a book and she turned over and accidentally kicked me in the jimmy's, I damn near threw up. It was the worst racking pain I had ever felt. Makes me sweat thinking about that.

Now that you've graduated from misspelling and failed conjugation of the most basic verb in any language, the verb 'to be', to an operational degree in gynecological surgery, you'd know that there are no less than 9 forms of tubal ligation. The most common form used nowadays, essure tubal ligation, doesn't even require local anesthesia and is, thus, a very minor and painless operation.
