Just wondering if there is a way to accurately measure/meters how much o2 is applied to wort for yeast health. I first started with and aerator and then upgraded to an o2 wand, but I never know how much to open up the o2 canister and then time it. Never consistent. Is there an o2 device that connects to the oxygen can for the homebrewer? I have carboys and a conical. Thx

There are numerous varieties of oxygen flow meters. Mostly for medical applications. Can be found on Amazon for as low as $16 but will have to be aisle engineered to fit between regulator and wand.

There are also Dissolved Oxygen (DO) meters. These are more pricey and measure the actual amount of O2 entrained in the liquid.

Here's what I ginned up to manage my tank and flow meter.

As @GilaMinumBeer notes, you can get the flow meters on Amazon. Mine is 0-10 liters per minute but I wish I had one with more fine control like 0-5 lpm. It works pretty well.

What would be your practice for aerating 5.25 gallons of wort with a gravity of between 1.055-1.065? I've been injecting O2 (Bernzomatic) through a .5 micron oxywand air-stone. I have a flow meter and have been setting it to .5L and aerating for 60 seconds. Am I on target? Thanks.

I built one like this but I use an inline regulator like you would use for a paint gun between the tank regulator and fine adjustment flowmeter.. worked well... strangely though since Ive been brewing 3bbl batches at the brewery we have found using oxygen to aerate has been totally not needed as the beer ferments quickly and finishes fine without it or off flavors. (Ive had beers finish at 1.002) Its made me think about my home setup and the fact that I never noticed a tangible difference from when I did use it and didnt.. we do aerate as the wort is deposited from a hose at the top of the conical and we also whirlpool..
