Many tips from one sprout

I have a couple of hop plants that were planted in april. 1 is a centennial and the other is a nugget. Early in there life the tips were eaten by bugs and since I have been spraying them with a water soap solution. So now both of the sprouts (1 from each rhyzome) have about 4 tips growing from each. Should I prune all but 1 tip on each rhyzome? Or should I let them grow like that? Thanks for the advise

Let all 1st year growth grow.

As Jmac said you should leave all first year shoots to help establish a root system. Then years after that trim back to 4 - 6 shoots. My 2nd year cascades had about 12 shoots. I trimmed the first few then kept the four after that looked the strongest.
