i currently have a batch of edwort's aphelwein thumping i followed his recipe and thinking of making jack from it via freeze distillation ive never sampled aphelwein so id like to know if im on a good idea or am i on the fast track to destroying a good thing

go for it. i've freeze concentrated mead before with good results. As long as the cider was well made then it should probably come out fine

My limited experience with freeze concentrating demonstrated that "ALL" flavors are concentrated........good and bad so make sure you start with a clean beverage and you should be fine.
