I have 1 gallon of apfelwein clearing, but its made much stronger than the original recipe. I want to carbonate in the bottle, but i'd like to bottle in smaller bottles so I can give a few away and be able to open a new one often rather than drink from a half full slightly vinegary bottle. Would beer bottles suffice?
Also, should I top up the demi John to avoid any air issues, or perhaps clear quickly and allow it to condition for months in the bottle instead of the carboy?
