The yeast was harvested from Bell's winter ale.
I grew up enough for a 1 gallon test batch but after 3 weeks it finished at 1.025.
Probably due to the extremely difficult time I had keeping the wort at temp in my cold kitchen.
I threw in the hops and about 4 days later.

do i even dare try to save the yeast?
It took a while to get it to go.
Edit: the hop bag was washed in oxi-clean in my washing machine so I assumed the dark discoloring wasn't an issue because it's old and i've used it a while without issue but i could be wrong.
