Hi guys. My neighbor is allergic to barley and rye so i thought to see if I can brew an all wheat for him. Im not sure if it exists as I understand that wheat is used in as much as 60% of the grain bill.

Im seeking guidance. Is it possible to make an all wheat beer?

thanks all!

Don't forget rice hulls

dust free straw works for me.
I put two hands full on the bottom of my "Lauterbottich" (not sure if the english word for that is "Sparge Tun") (lol)

works very well!

I haven't seen straw since I lived in Texas;). You mix it in with your mash?

Mash/lauter tun usually:)

LOL... I have a horse! :) and since German Homebrewers recommend Straw and I have it on hand, I gave it a try.

I try to not mix it, since it works best when I evenly spread it on the bottom of my Lautertun (thanks :) ) and carefully put the Mash on top before sparging.

Grodziskie is Polish beer made from a grain bill of 100% oak smoked wheat malt.
+1 to the Grodziskie. I personally love the style. Very unique, flavorful, and drinkable. The recipe I used got me a gold medal recently and can be found here.
