looking for pumpkin wheat recipe without pumpkin

Does anyone out there have a good pumpkin wheat ale recipe that DOESN'T use pumpkin? From what I've read out there, the actual pumpkin yields little flavor to the beer and can be a pain to work with having to cook it and everything. But I'm afraid to take a recipe that uses pumpkin along with pumpkin spices and just leave out the pumpkin.

So, can you leave out pumpkin from a pumpkin spice recipe and get good results? or are there different recipes out there that are specific to pumpkin wheat ales that don't use pumpkin?

Well, your post title was rather amusing What's next? a wheat beer that doesn't use wheat? Anyways, if you want, just leave out the pumpkin and add everything else in the recipe. It will be fine.
