I thought the passionfruit and cantillon funk made this incredible. It an zenne were my favorites from the Shelton bros festival. Honing, Aunis, 04 iris were also still really nice as well.

Am I the only one who didn't really appreciate Citoyen this past weekend? Had it at the Porter tasting and at the festival VIP session. All I got was straight passionfruit juice each time. Closer to an Answer crowler than Lambic. Very minimal funk and just super sweet.

Super ******* excited about BXL Beer Fest this weekend - probably the best lambic line-up at a 'mainstream' Belgian festival I've seen, lots of specials (the Tilquin fruit experiments, the new De La Senne\Cantillon saison-lambic blend Wadesda 7, possible pours of Reine de Pres...) and there isn't even a full beer list yet.

Super ******* excited about BXL Beer Fest this weekend - probably the best lambic line-up at a 'mainstream' Belgian festival I've seen, lots of specials (the Tilquin fruit experiments, the new De La Senne\Cantillon saison-lambic blend Wadesda 7, possible pours of Reine de Pres...) and there isn't even a full beer list yet.

That's without even mentioning the goat . Gonna be a fun weekend. Great food to boot. See you there

I'll only be around the fest for a couple hours, but I'll be stopping by for some lambic delights. Would love to tikk in person. I will try to wear something mead- or talkbeer-related that day.

Considering the last time I saw this on the shelf in Chicago was 2014 or so and that was $23 for a 375, I don't think this is completely out whack...

Ehh. Last 2014 75cl GB I bought off Etre was 33 euro. It's a pretty hefty price hike given that was only like 15 months ago.

Also, I hate to promote it, but my friends and I got a cheaper deal on MyBeerCollectibles, buying 5 GB 2016 for around $55 each shipped. Beats LambicWorld and BiAB prices, and shipping was ridiculously fast.

But **** like 99% of the rest of that site.

Made it to Pikkulintu today! Really awesome bar with a great community type feel to it. It's in a really odd little strip-mall in East Helsinki though. A bit out of the way. Worth a visit but don't expect the cantillon whales brought out for just anyone. Boon on draft and a selection of cantillon regular bottles for 16€ will keep you happy!

I love this so much. I'm a sucker for the reg Cuvee Rene and this blend is just unreal every time I taste this. When I think about the "basement funk" descriptor this is exactly the aroma that comes to mind. Smells like I'm swimming in spiderwebs in my grandparents dirt floor basement. Carb wasn't as strong as I've experienced on other bottles. 1 bottle left in my cellar, gotta re-up I think.

Small pop from the cork, it's got plenty of carb but not aggressive like some previous bottles.

Already in the bottle log but this is a classic 3F gem. Getting a nice little oaky vanilla edge as it warms in addition to usual green apple, grassy funk. Prickly in the back of my throat.

Just opened one last week. Carb seemed normal to the others I had with with a nice pop. Earthy and fresh cut roses
