If I were hypothetically spending $96 on a current-release Lou Pepe, it would at least be nice for the list to indicate which one it is.

I think there's something a bit humorous about a high-end bar getting a bunch of allocated beer, pricing it aggressively, then printing off an obviously poorly-researched list.

Lol @ their terrible descriptions. I'd be tempted by that 1999 GCB despite the aggressive price, hands-down one of the best beers I've ever tried. For those asking pretty sure this is at Rebelle.

I'd split that 99 GCB with 3 dude

Found at a wine bar in NYC, is Shelton still handling Cantillon here? They still distributing through Union? Looks like they did a few drops to nicer establishments.

1. Kriek Lambic Gambrinus - who knows if this beer has raspberries or cherries?
2. Lou Pepe...?
3. Why does Gambrinus cost the same as LPX and FF?

Those vintage bottles are a steal relative to the pricing on the current bottles.

Sorry for the cross-post from the Cantillon thread, but does anyone know if the GCB currently available at Cantillon is 2014 label year? Lambic.info only has info on the last bottling in summer 2016.

Golden Blend 2011. Quite a nice bottle. Opened with a small pop, carb is there but nowhere near what it used to be. I remember this absolutely exploding off when it first came out. Super soft lambic right now though. Not particularly assertive in any specific characteristic, but really nice and balanced all around. I would say woody overall but extremely easy to drink. Very creamy mouthfeel. What particularly concerns me though is the size of these corks. The part in the bottle isn't even 1.5cm long. Thankfully when I removed the foil there was no gunk built up around the outside or movement upwards, but I've had several 2011 bottles that were flat and oxidized with cork issues.

Just beacuse that is what Cantillon costs online now, doesn't mean it is worth it.

I mean it sold out in 20 mins so many thought it was worth it. I ordered the etre ones last month, and would have gotten these had I gotten notice. It is worth a the extra money for me cause my only other choice is trade or spend all day waiting in a line when they release here.
