Has anyone seen Kerkom Reuss around in the states? It's a blend of lambic and their Belgian blonde. Had it at the Shelton fest and was very impressed. Wine Seeker was only able to pull up one random store that doesn't ship.

I have seven bottles of Tilquin in my suitcase right now. Unfortunately, despite a direct flight and me getting to the airport plenty early, my suitcase did not make it on my plane. It will be on the next flight in this evening.

I'm not particularly mad that the bag didn't make it on the plane. The issue is that no one at Delta can tell my why the bag did not make the plane. This does not bode well.

Yeah the first time I tried a bottle of this I was super impressed and went back and bought several more. This and other lambic/not lambic blends seem to have the funk of lambic without some of the acidity which is exactly what I want a lot of the time now. It ages pretty well too, although as it gets older it seems to just taste more like lambic and less like something unique.

Not as easy to find, but Reninge Bitter blond a lambiek (might not have the name exactly right, I've been drinking and am not gonna look it up to double check) is similar and even better.

The only one that's been consistently excellent for me is the oude kriek.

Glad your beers made it! If your bags are not checked in at least an hour before boarding, you're luggage might not make your plane. Has happened to me.

Might not be your case, but good to know to avoid another incident like that in the future!

Lucked out with the friend's bottle I tried. Hoping the one I traded for is just as good. I thought it was great and had high hopes for aging purposes, nice carb very jammy fruit.

Do not sleep on this beer. It's a straight up cognac bomb. Boon shaved the inside of the foeder before filling it.
