At the same time, every non-distributed beer of his that I can think of has been sold on-site only (the various grape blends), to-go but only at Cantillon (50N), or at specific bars (Blabaer, Zwanze sort of) or some combination. It seems to me that, whenever this does come out, it'll be one of:

1) Release at least the size of a typical seasonal, sees typical international distribution.
2) Release at least the size of a special beer like 50N, sold to-go at Cantillon at low limits.
3) Release at least the size of a typical Zwanze, served as/alongside Zwanze (though presumably being bottles only would make serving as Zwanze tricky).
4) Release about the size of a typical special grape blend, on-site only at Cantillon.

Any of those could turn into shitshows, and if it's 3 or 4 then whatever bottles do leak out will obviously be highly coveted, but plenty of people will be able to try it. Of course, he could do something entirely different, who knows! It would be neat if it was like Framboos 2011 and sold at a release party.
Idk, stuff like 50N doesn't turn into a shitshow either. It's not like every American suddenly goes to Brussels

50N doesn't have anywhere near the hype Loerik does. Though I'm not sure why, people went crazy for Zenne and they're similar things.

Didn't Zenne have a significantly lower bottle count?

Either way Zenne >>>>>>>>>>> 50N4E. And Zenne's first release. That's probably why.
Maybe? I don't know. At any rate no one knew what Zenne tasted like when its value was close to established.

Zenne has always felt like the first newmoney lambic.

I don't mean the lambic itself, but the way it's sought out, sold on the secondary market, etc. And a lot of guys I see going after it (not on here) don't seem to drink lambic regularly or extensively, they just want the whale bottles.
Something about it did seem different, but I think part of that is just the bottlecount. It's uncommon for lambic releases to be that small and still be sold to-go, I bet if Cantillon sold their special grape blends to-go you'd see the same crap.

There are unconfirmed rumors that Doesjel is intentionally blended to be flat, but I don't buy it. I asked Armand once if the Golden Doesjels would have been labeled as Golden Blends if they hard carbed and the answer was yes. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't "make" a lazy gueuze, it just kind of makes itself.

Last year at the open brew days I asked the guy who does the tours (and brews), forgot his name. He said they definately make them on purpose now.

It seems some OGV is more close to Doesjel, as some batches were kept because they didn't carb when they were expected to be, and much later turned out great.

Thanks to HenrikO & friends for their company & sharing these lambics with me ;)

Some nice Cantillons, must say they got a lot better after about 30 min. or so , then the flavours were just amazing! :D

The taste of this Spontanbasil was surprisingly good.

I've got two or three bottles that have developed what looks like a pelicle floating on top of the beer. What's the deal? I can try to get a picture if needed.
Infected. Place bottles in oven at 450f for 30 minutes to sterilize and then wipe down with 60:40 alcohol/bleach solution before they are safe to consume.

That doesn't sound like a good time, I'm not going to do any of that...

For real, I'm just wondering what it is, what causes it, what it will taste like, will it clear up, etc
