Yeah but how

But seriously, years ago I ordered a metric fuckton of BiaB bulk packs. I've drank down a large amount of it being a daily drinker. Now it's harder to get. My world is crumbling down around me and I just sit here with my fingers in my ears humming in denial that soon, those hundreds of bottles will be less and less then, poof.. gone like a cow fart from a de garde bottle.

I, too, live near Houston. Pearland (now) to be exact.

Who's tasted Belle-Vue Selection Lambic '99 over here ?
What's the level of sourness after all those years ?
I'm tempted to buy a bottle, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag ?

I had it the day before Zwanze Day, it was good...not really that sour and not oxidized at all but if i saw it on a menu for 100€ i'd pass...fun to try but nothing insane for that price IMO.

If anyone is in or around the Pittsburgh area this weekend, I was thinking of doing a vertical of the 2011, 2013, and 2015 Horal Megablends. I'm tempted to make it a solo attempt, but figured I'd offer.

Send me a PM if interested. Happy drinking.

Highly recommend. I did a vertical with 09, 11, 13, and 15 a little while back. All quite different, and everyone really enjoyed comparing the blends. Solo would be fun too, but definitely enjoyed hearing others' thoughts as we went through them.

How are the more recent bottlings of 3F OG? I loved January '15 and October '14, but was disappointed by the lack of carb in the March '15 bottles I had.

March 14, 2015 bottles (750ml) are slightly off (light on the carb) but still tasty, the March 6, 2015 (375ml), March 11, 2015 (750ml), and March 13, 2015 (750ml) have been on-point though.

The October 2015 and December 2015 bottles are also delicious (these are the bottles that Armand has stated how much 3F brewed lambic is in the blend).

Finest Belgian Beers has A&G 375s. Anyone ever order from here? Seems less shitlordy than the usual suspects.

The per bottle price is ~50% higher than Etre and shipping is ******* ridiculous (10lbs costs 72€, whereas etre will ship 33lbs for 78€). Grand total of $176USD for six 375ml bottles? No thank you. What is this, Side Project?

Fair point. I think we're all going to be disappointed if we're comparing every webshop to Etre, though.

Just be sure you know you're getting a full on sour fruited De Cam, this is definitely a take no prisoners lambic.

I got surprisingly little fruit from the bottle I had, and TONS of funk. Like 5-10 year old gueuze levels of funk. But yeah it was also pretty acidic. On the whole very different from something like Fou Foune tho.

De Cam is some serious stuff for sure. I remember getting to finally try the oude lambiek for the first time about a year ago, 2012 vintage. No carb and staight up battery acid. Not an easy drinking lambic. Needless to say, i prefer the oude geuze, and so do all my tasted buds and stomach lining.

I had one of these at Moeder the other night and was pretty disappointed, I think I may have had a bad bottle. The nose was pretty unpleasant and you have to reach to find nectarine on the nose, followed by a vibrant initial taste of nectarine and a bit of funk and then a finish of diacetyl. I had a hard time finishing my share of the bottle. Will happily try again as people I trust have had a positive review of the beer.

Damn it sounds like we definitely had a bad bottle, dude. Glad to hear the bartender wasn't totally full of **** lol

we shared a bottle at the Pre-Borefts tasting and the consensus was that it was a great beer, but not a complete wow. However, some experienced people found that it was the best beer of the evening, and there were quite a few other great brews among them.

Surprised they didn't offer to give you another bottle to replace the bad one.
I mean it definitely happens, it was more the remark that was made by the bartender about Nectarine being "10 times better than Fou"
