Has any manner of tracking info gone out for these? Or did it just show up one day?
I had 2013 twice, both US imports, and both bottles were fantastic. I still have my bottle that I acquired locally. Anyone find a nice sweet spot for 2007?

How was the fruit in 07 vs. 13? I got a recent Hommage as a wedding gift and am debating to sit on it or have it soon. I prefer fruited lambics to be fruit forward, so I was planning on having it soon, but I'm curious as to why you preferred the older vintage.![]()
Opened February of this year. It was perfect. That is 2011 Framboos. 13 Hommage and 07 Hommage.
From best to worst: 07 Hommage. 2011 Framboos. 2013 Hommage
All mine are March 2. Too badGood point. March 1st bottling.
07 Hommage was perfect in every way for me. The smell and taste was unbelievable. It must have been very well kept. The fruit was very rich and forward, even for being ~8 years old. If I am remembering correctly, B1 Hommage is the one that contains 5% sour cherries. B2 hommage just has Raspberries? So maybe those cherries gave it that extra kick? All I know is I want to try another one, but I haven't seen one pop up for sale or trade since I got mine last year. How was the fruit in 07 vs. 13? The 2013 hommage was slightly medicinal/band aidy I think. Fruit was present, but muddled for me. I didn't take detailed notes, but I did rank everything we tried. Hommage b2 ranked 2nd to last.
I think the 5% cherries text was just omitted from the US label. Otherwise what would make it different from Framboos? Different amounts of raspberries possibly? Likewise, drank B1 and B2 side by side a few months ago and B1 blew B2 away.. Likewise, I ranked B2 really low for that day, we had some big hitters though...![]()
Can't see your pic.I see it now

"What's interesting about this new US label is that it does not say that there are 5% cherries in the new batch. It's not clear if this was an omission from the label or the beer."
With all the U.S. laws regarding alcohol, I'd think they'd require the ingredients be listed on the label. Who knows? Not me.I've only had one US label bottle, but it definitely had cherries in it. I haven't had an 07 so I can't compare, but I've loved every '13 I've had. The first bottle I had on 6/23/14 was the best though.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Alls I know is I could definitely taste the cherries, especially compared to the Framboos we opened next to it.
Yup. The federal government (TTB) doesn't require a full ingredient list to be listed on beer, wine (7% alc/vol and above) or distilled spirits. Even though it might seem like an obvious thing to do, I doubt you'll see mandatory ingredient lists for the majority of alcohol beverage products anytime soon. The small guys would piss and moan about how much it would cost, the big producers wouldn't want to give up the favorable labeling rules that mostly benefit them, and the government is slooooow to change. When you see ingredient lists and nutrition labeling on alcohol beverage products, they're likely wine under 7% alc/vol (e.g. cider or Boone's Farm what what) or stuff like gluten-free beer. The labels for those products are regulated by a different government agency (FDA instead of TTB).RC46Interceptor may have some insight there.
Spent all morning cutting venison steaks, making pickled heart and took my daughter fishing. I now smell like onions, meat and fish so bad that I can hardly smell this.

yes, i saw it and wondered if it meant anything. its 2 characters, the second of which is a 3 and i assume a leading zeroQuestion: Look on the cork from that bottle, is there a hand stamped number 1-12 on there somewhere?

Nope.Pretty sure the Girardin date code has been deciphered then.
The 'year' on the cork is always one year ahead of the bottling year. Your "Bx2016" (older ones can say REF) with the 03 stamped on there somewhere on the cork means it was bottled in March of 2015. The year ahead thing is essentially the expiration date that is required by law. This goes back to at least 2010/11 bottlings and continues with current bottles.
Nope.
