How do I put this nicely????
Ummm that was last month's news which also extended to BIAB getting cutoff. Im too lazy to look back in this thread but im guessing it was discussed at length with memes and gifs of frustration somewherein the realm of 10 pages ago?
I must have missed that. I thought it was just a BIAB issue as I just got a box from etre with girardin yesterday.
Yeah, but no boxesIt appears girardins bottle are ok to export though.
Yeah I hit them up a couple years ago about that, they wouldn't ship then either.Yeah, but no boxes![]()
To accomplish what, exactly?I may have a dialog open with D&V (Girardin importers) via L.I. Working on others.

No clarification on the bottle situation, but I imagine that Girardin is using this to put a stop to bottles going to the U.S. in general as they really are a small, seemingly locally-focused operation. The reality is that D&V International contacted Girardin asking them if we could import some of the “Bag in Box” for our best accounts. The Brewery informed D&V International that when they sell the "bag in box" to a retailer that it is intended for local (private) consumption. The beer is a living beer and Girardin said that the beer is highly explosive if it is exposed to heat and is only suitable to be transported for a few hours. The product was never intended to be shipped to the US and Girardin (not D&V) asked the retailer to no longer ship to the US.
So if I check a bag-in-box of Gueuze from Belgium and it blows up on the plane, am I now a terrorist?I just received a response from Jesse Mogk, the General Sales Manager at D&V/Specialty Imports who imports for Girardin. Here is his response to my inquiry about the company putting pressure on Girardin to stop selling to online retailers, posted with permission:

Honestly, it's not nearly worth the price. I've enjoyed every 2014 and 2015 OG I've opened more than the few 2014 GBs I've had so far.
For a 375? Jesus I might pass at that price.
I know, right? People actually drink this stuff?"a few 2014 GBs" - jeez, how much lambic do you guys drink? :O
