Thomas is a great guy. We had one of those 97's with dinner as well this past summer and it was absolutely stunning. One of the best geuzes I've ever had.

€55 well spent. He said they didn't have a whole lot left.

Yeah that's what I really wanted, and I missed it too. Can't complain though, this is the first time in a while I've been too late for anything that went up on a webshop that I would've wanted to buy. I was really hoping for some more Boon Vat 44 which I still really regret not buying lots of when it was readily available.

I also think that the vault is more of a retirement account for JVR. he turns the brewery over to a younger relative or shuts down as selling it to an outsider is likely not even an option. Then he slowly sells/drinks through his retirement account which will likely be 80k bottles strong.

As a Financial Advisor, I think I'm going to start recommending lambic as an alternative investment.

Not very widespread at all, and usually the better ones / ones with great relationships with Shelton and their distributors.

Haven't seen it on a shelf since 2009 / 2010 ish for what its worth.
