Haha, yeah, it's taken me a while to get there, but right now all I'm really buying is kegs, SARA/Rare Barrel/Bruery club stuff, and lambic, and not very much of any of it.

So you all got me curious so 375's are 10.99 and 750's are 19.39 taking discounts into account OTD (2) 375's are 20 and (1) 750 is 17.64. That is a really tough decision

OG is 19.99 again before discount and CG was 19.99 but limit 1 so no discount available

Around here, 750 OGs tend to be 18-19. Last time I bought a CG was more like 14, although, that was maybe 2 years ago. Also, I mostly shop at places that price at a fixed percent over wholesale and don't do opportunistic pricing on the crazy popular stuff.

Look at it this way, at least you don't live somewhere way too expensive where seeing Cuvee Rene on the shelf is a treat.

Whenever I'm traveling, if I see any 750s of OG under $20, I'll buy at least one; my cutoff is $20 because thats roughly just a bit more than what it'd cost to order in bulk online. Never seen 'em in Madison, so there's that. But I've seen tons of them in California (both NorCal and SoCal), Denver and Kentucky, though some places do have them for more than $20 which I won't bother with.

Never seen 750s of CG for less than $25, though. Or RdG for that matter. And my cutoff also applies here.

Its not just you, I've come across it, most noticeably with 3F stuff. I think Zomer might have been the most pronounced if I recall.

I had a similar issue with a Herfst about a month ago. Opened it at room temp and tasted like I was gnawing on a Pirelli, then we iced it down and let it breathe for a bit...much better.

I was bracing to have the enamel ripped off my teeth but this one is surprisingly mellow. This is the first batch, best I can tell, as i got it in 2009. It tastes absolutely amazing. Tastes more like a blackberry then any cassis I've but definitely different. This Hanssens glass is a great oldie too. Circa 1960-70. ‪

Regular Doesjel is, but according to Etre Golden Doesjel is:

Blend of 1,2,3 and 4 year-old Lambics, bottled on 02/05/2013. 6%

So either they're wrong (there's no description on the Fonteinen site) or something weird happened.

I have had OG and Doesjel and though the Doesjel was gueuze that never carbonated in the bottle. I have had golden blend but have not yet opened a bottle of golden doesjel, and thought they were gueuze with 4 year lambic that didnt carb.
