Anyone going to Night of the Great Thirst this weekend? I just so happen to be in New England so I think I'm going to drive up and throw up a tent.

Oh the roller coaster of emotions... get an email from 3F this morning...

Only to say that there isn't enough stock to satisfy my waitlist order.

Womp womp.

I got my rejection letter this morning. I like to think it took them longer to send it to me because they felt so bad having to say no to such a nice guy.

These hit NYC recently. I had the opportunity to buy one but passed on the price ($75)

That actually seems reasonable. Sits around $65 USD for 3F OG shipped off Etre. Guessing the bottle count is decently less too. I understand the whole 2x 750mL cost is about half but different strokes I guess.

Finally found one of these while visiting my parents-in-law in central Ohio. Set me back $60. Would gladly drop another $60 if I could find one.

De Cam OG 375mL just popped up on Etre

I’m so happy he’s doing these again. Karel said they’re mostly aimed at bars because he sees too many people wasting 75s, not ordering them at all bc of size, or bartenders pouring half bottles and then pouring the other half hours later the next time it’s ordered.

New to NE and I’m hearing about this event for the first time...is this a public shitshow or is it ticketed?

Might have to make the 2 hour drive to drink some Bokke on Saturday.

I've been requesting 375s of everything at Burger Antics for the same reasons. The price point is just so much better. I hope they send some of those Chicagoland's way. We've haven't seen De Cam in a couple years.

This reminds me: does somebody here know the backstory on the De Cam Oude Lambiek that came to the states a few years ago? I remember them being $$$$, having unusual glossy (packing taped on?) labels and having never seeing new product since.

I know there're still a couple 2012 bottles at Lincoln Park Binny's for $40 a piece. I bought a couple, but the shelf aging didn't do them any good.

+1

Yep, true story. Very unfortunate that this happens at local bars.

Karel is still a dick, so don’t care. :)

Sounds like you haven't really spent a ton of time with him then. He's one of the most generous people I've encountered over there.

It takes a guy who's a dick on the internet to really, truly understand a guy who's a dick on the internet.

Not in my experience, but could be.

I'm also really annoyed by his ridiculous, and hypocritical, attack on Pierre.

yeahnatenelson I know I somehow pissed you off, or it seems that way, but really no clue. So OK.

I'm hearing rumblings about Girardin kegs lading in my market in time for a...an unrelated lambic appreciation day. Does anybody have .info? Unclear if 1) this is really a thing, and 2) if it's filtered or not.
It's real. 4 kegs for IL is what I heard. I have no idea who got them (not me). I'm guessing Hopleaf and Map Room.

Huh. No blend 27 in there.

I *think* I read it right, but there's always a chance I didn't. This was all done in those tense few minutes before my kids' alarm clocks are set to go off. Maybe adrenaline messed with my eyes.
