We built one wall of storage in our cellar to accommodate lambic - nothing fancy - just used a table saw and mostly strong particle board with reinforcement...will snap a picture when I get home. The planning and cutting took longer then actually putting it all together and it was fine with a small 3.4 earthquake (not sure how it would have fared with the 5.0 we had in 2010 just before we built it).

Anyone ever build their own bottle racks from wood? Am thinking of doing so because my neighbor has all the wood tools one could need and he offered to help. I just need plans really.

The glassware doesn't have the blendery name and he has said the logo won't change so I doubt this is a product dump, but I could be wrong.
Perhaps you will in the future?
In the meantime, it's an extremely well made glass, and this is actually a good price for it. They generally run around $60 and that's for a blank glass.

Oh I know that Zalto glasses aren't cheap at all. I just don't know if I ever need to own one. My fear of breaking a $60 glass is pretty high.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm not all that fond of any of the fruited Tilquins. For how expensive they are they're just never worth it.

Although I'm generally more of a good old fashioned geuze man, I have too say that Tilquin Pinot Noir is one of the best bottles of beer I've had (and Pinot Gris was also stellar).

I've been able to get the Tilqin regs in NJ now for about the past year. I'm hoping that the next time seasonals roll around we will get some as well.

Cardboard and that pulp material are breeding grounds for mold and bacteria. If you’re storing in a dry closet somewhere that’s probably fine, but in a non temp controlled basement, you’re asking for issues.

Last summer during really humid stretch I had about 5 or 6 boxes of beer become infested with mold. The majority of them were 3F paper label bottles. I ended up cleaning the **** out of all of them and scrubbing all the labels off. I threw away a bunch of beers I didn't care about but it was a giant pain in the ass the salvage what I wanted to keep. The next week I ended up buying an Ikea Kallax with the door inserts and keep everything in there now.
