Ah, that makes more sense. What does the membership entail/provide? Just early access or actual bottles?
Last year it was just early access, from what I understand he'll do a couple exclusive bottles this year.
Like, one of his better received beers last year, but only at festivals, was Framboos+ or Framboos Extra or something, and I heard that will be an exclusive this year.

Note that I'm not sure about any of this and it's all hearsay

I spotted this at Yankee Spirits in MA a few months ago. Maybe it was a festival distro thing?

That bottle was sitting there for a while, at least since July. From what I remember in chatting with the super helpful guy that worked there, they got in two bottles (I don't know when), and the first left the shelf fairly quick. I think maybe only six came into Massachusetts? I think I remember him saying that the magnums got distributed as a way to raise funds (I know, I know, the same is true for the ones bought directly from the brewery), but I don't know who the importer would have been (and didn't think to check on the bottle at the time).

Notes? Avoiding opening my last 750
This one is even better than the last one i opened. High wet sock funk, high mineral notes, mild green apple. Perfect carb. I think it is still going strong overall. Probably going to open my last one in a year or two. A tad green apple seems to be slowly creeping in, but not a lot. Otherwise imo still in its peak.

I’ve been assuming this still has years before it peaks. My notes from bottle I opened April 2018 say very good but relatively young, notes from a bottle in 2017 say too young and needing to dry out some. Bottles before that my notes say too much oak (which to me means it needs time). Those were 375s...I haven’t even tried a 750 yet. I’m due to open my first one soon though I figure.

I like my gueuze old in general though.

Makes sense. I just see the sour apple getting stronger though, so as long as you don't mind that you should be fine (I didn't notice the flavor at all fresh). This was my 6th or seventh bottle, and a few folks I know have said it is beyond its prime, though I assume that is probably due to warmer storage, as this one tasted younger than the one I opened just a few month ago which was sourced a few years after the release. Once a lambic starts being dominated by certain flavors I'm not a fan, though as the case with the 05 OGV I had recently those flavors do not always develop over time. Safe to say aging lambic is never boring. Cheers!

The lady and I just finished a bottle of Magic Lambic, which we both loved. The vanilla was what really set this one apart - it added a sort of sweetness that worked so well with the fruit. What an awesome beer. I’m sad that I probably won’t be drinking it again.

Two asides: 1) Moses Sleeper was a great accompaniment and 2) I don’t know why I even bother with fruited AWAs.

Yeah I guess I should’ve noted that I bought my bottles early and that I’m lucky to have a dedicated basement “cellar” with fairly low temperatures year round. I wouldn’t be buying 6+ bottles of lambic releases to put away for 8-10 years if they had to age in a 75 degree spare bedroom closet.

I seem to remember tasting apple in early bottles of this I opened but those probably aren’t trustworthy memories. My tasting notes weren’t always as thorough 4+ years ago. I didn’t get apple from my last bottle though.

This has been one of my favorite fresh batches of A&G. Love the contribution from the honey. Not a ton in the nose beside some barnyard notes.

That said, batch 19 from last year was also amazing. I’m glad they are cranking these out but I’m also really ready for the drop of GB and OG that is supposed to hit the area soon.
