Was it sour and oak aged too?



I had one of these circa ‘09-10 and shared it with some wine nerds. They shot loads over it not believing “beer” could taste so good. Dont think ive had one since but saw etre got some and its making me consider grabbing some.

I need to get the page updated but it’s now being served as Sophia Lambic and those early versions were the beer at different periods before getting an official name. I doubt it makes it out for public sale, but it has been around for festivals, dinners, etc.

Sophia and it are the same was my understanding. It was available for a short time onsite. I love it, tastes like lambic cider.

It was in stock on Monday too for about an hour. When I grabbed a bottle there were 5 left. Seems they're putting up small amounts periodically instead of their entire stock at once. Meanwhile I'm refreshing hoping the they'll restock some 750s of 3F OG.

Original was 100€ shipped with 2 years of membership. New batch is 65€ with 1 year membership. Quite the markup at $190. All the stuff I've tried from the membership has been really great.

Are they all magnums? Most non-shelf lambic is too rich for my blood anyways, but these prices seem crazy, even before markup. 100€ for a single bottle?

Only backslash and Vlier are magnums, the rest are 750s. The 100€ is for the magnum + membership, the rest of the bottles are 10-14€.

Ah, that makes more sense. What does the membership entail/provide? Just early access or actual bottles?
