I mean it’s like 13€/bottle which is a better deal than anything in the US. Those are Cuvée Rene prices.Looks like they are aiming more for the international crowd as I can't imagine that many locals will spend that much on some gueuze

Interesting that it's so many different blends of the same beers. That said I'd buy one for sure.as of Saturday 27th of October we offer in our shop a new package with 12 new and different blends / bottles. The "autumn package" is yet another beautiful set of authentic 3 Fonteinen lambic beers:

I like these boxes, and I think it's a great idea to stop people from just getting the speciallekes and reselling them, but this is priced pretty steep. Though also at Cantillon the prices have gone way up the last two years.
€13/bottle average is priced pretty steep? I’d didagrre with that if you’re looking at retail prices stateside (if you could even find them)
Agree. Although, FYI - they've had 12-packs of OG 37,5s for sale last weekend and the weekend before that (12 and 19 Oct).It may just be how much the prices have gone up over the past couple years.
I'll still gladly pay up for a big box full of lambic, and of course there's nothing wrong with asking a fair price, but they've at least doubled their prices in the recent past. Wasn't Hommage 2015 €9?
So don't get me wrong I still adore 3F and think they're a super sympathetic/nice brewery that I'll gladly bring my money to but it would be nice to get some cheap bottles again. It's been months since OG was for sale at the brewery and it's hard to keep buying A&G at €13 when Girardin is €3,50 just down the road
Nice! I'll swing by after the open brew day at CantillonAgree. Although, FYI - they've had 12-packs of OG 37,5s for sale last weekend and the weekend before that (12 and 19 Oct).
I don't think it's that expensive, but I also don't think you can compare directly to stateside pricing.€13/bottle average is priced pretty steep? I’d didagrre with that if you’re looking at retail prices stateside (if you could even find them)
I don't think it's that expensive, but I also don't think you can compare directly to stateside pricing.
When I buy A&G from my local store (and even now it's on the shelf for $35), I don't have to ship it (add $10/bottle to these packs), I don't have to coordinate shipping (extra couple of bucks for your proxy), and I don't have to worry about customs (either the legality or the chance it gets sent back).
So the real comparison is something like $27/bottle vs. $35 with no hassle.
It is when you're directly comparing that price to retail in the states, which is what you were doing.Yeah but that’s an individual’s cost and varies depending on your situation . They’re still only going to cost you €13/avg per bottle at the source, and it’s not the brewery’s issue what the charge is to get it to where it needs to go after purchase. The 3F price point has risen some, yeah, but I think it’s come into like with s lot of other alcohol now.
It is when you're directly comparing that price to retail in the states, which is what you were doing.
No, you're comparing the price of purchasing direct from manufacturer at their physical retail location to the price of buying a distributed retail product. It's not a reasonable comparison. No one who would be buying retail from the US would be buying direct from 3F without having to consider the additional shipping & handling costs. Not really, IMO. Retail is retail. Shipping is shipping. Those are two separate things in my book. Under certain sets of conditions you can get those bottles for at retail without incurring any additional cost, which is why I compared it to U.S. prices.
It may just be how much the prices have gone up over the past couple years.

Is there a limit on Gooikoorts?True, I'd rather pick up a whole case of Girardin, some Tilquin and a nice mix of other lambics then a super expensive box. De cam gooikoorts is the same concept as Golden Blend as far as I know for example and its 9 euro (at the brewery) and you cant even buy 3f GB separate anymore.
And I've been wanting to get some normal 3f OG to and none of the shops in the area still have them, atleast in 75 cl bottles.
