Anyone know if the most recent bottling of Nath is different in any way from last years?

Kinda want to trade for some simply for sentimental reasons but also dont want to go hog wild if this stuff is bottled up egg farts again.

Had a pour at Zwanze and can say that out the gate, this years is way better than last years was at this point and time. This was a draft pour so bottles may be different as I think i remember people saying Nath 17 was amazing on draft as well.

I’ve had and heard varying experiences with bottles of 17 Nath. I’ve only heard good things about batch 2.

Damn. Just noticed the Zenne glass is sold out on Etre. Not that I would ever have a chance of drinking a Zenne out of it.

Took an early lunch to intercept my Etre box. It's like Christmas in October.

Zenne glass was in it, will likely never have Zenne out of it either.

USPS actually attempted to deliver my Etre box yesterday even though it was slated for delivery today. Picked up my box from the post office and was pleased to see how well the bottles were packed. Packing peanuts at the bottom of the box, each bottle individually wrapped and separated by cardboard inserts. The box itself was double-walled. There was a gash on the top of the box, but other than that, it looked far less abused than the BiaB box posted a few pages back.

I feel like I made a mistake by not dropping one of these into my recent order.

I'm curious whether anyone knows how the decision is made for what gets imported to the US and what doesn't.

The players are the producer and the importer (right?), and Boon's capacity is large enough that I'd guess the US importer could have gotten some if they wanted. So the importer makes some calculation about what's sufficiently profitable, and decided this beer somehow wasn't worth it? On the other hand, the other Boon/Mikkeller collabs seem to have moved at least as fast as other (non-Cantillon/3F) lambic, so why would this seem like anything other than a sure bet?

I know the US already gets a lot of stuff, and it's reasonable for producers to choose not to export things here if they'd rather not. Just don't see why that would have been the obstruction in this instance, but also don't see why the importer would pass here.

Hopefully the USPS doesn’t flag incoming packages based on how many times a person refreshes the tracking on that package.

Because it’s been about 9 days and the Moose Man is gettin’ a little antsy.
