Know someone looking to move one?![]()
Nope, sorry. I only know of a few outside the brewery.
Know someone looking to move one?![]()
Hate to say this as people seem really excited about the idea of this beer. but it was hands down the worst beer I had at Quintessence. Had a really volatile taste and was way too sour. The 2004 Geuze served at the same station was maybe my favorite of the day.Had a 750 of the 2-3-4 this summer so they’re definitely around.

I agree with your assessment of the 2004 Gueuze. It was easily one of my favorites there as well.Hate to say this as people seem really excited about the idea of this beer. but it was hands down the worst beer I had at Quintessence. It's amazing/wierd how we all taste completely different things, as I thought the the 2004 Gueuze was one of the worst beers of the day due to it being way too sour, and that the 2-3-4 was easily one of my favorites there (really complex and unique with good balance).
Given that I seem to be the odd one out, and that they were poured from the same location, maybe I somehow mixed them up? I really don't think I did, by maybe?
Did you end up switching to Etre?
I actually made the switch to Etre... or so I thought. I sent a message to them on FB yesterday for my set and a friend's set. Within 20 minutes they responded, told me they were picking up the next day (today), and asked for the tickets. I sent them and within an hour got a message confirming they received our tickets and they would be grabbing both sets. Coincidentally, 6am this morning I finally got a message from BiaB saying they had my bottles, but not my friend's (we asked for combined shipping). My friend had sent their ticket on October 5th, but BiaB claimed to not have it. I sent Etre a quick message saying that they would just be picking up one set, and not mine because BiaB already grabbed it. I got a response from Etre within minutes confirming that it was fine and that they picked up my friend's set and payment option would be following shortly.I have not. Kurt responded to my email. Still not clear exactly when my bottles are coming. I’ll probably keep pestering him, but work has gotten unexpectedly busy. I’ll probably just ride it out. I don’t expect that he’ll completely flake, but the lack of communication is maddening.

The contrast in communication between Etre and BiaB is astounding. I completed the checkout for my set (and other items) with BiaB. I will continue to shop through them, as I trust them and ultimately they deliver the goods (pun intended). But I hope they figure out a plan for the next release that at least involves consistent communication. I can't imagine what people that have never dealt with BiaB must be thinking. At least I know from personal experience that Kurt is a good and helpful guy that will hold up his end. But if I was new to this, I would be going crazy.
The pricing on the link they sent me only reflected one set. And they explicitly said they did not have my friend's required documents so they did not pick up the set. It's all a moot point now, as both sets have been picked up and will (in theory) be on their way to us soon. Just have to cross my fingers for shipping now!MikeG and I opted to stay w/ BIAB. There was little to no communication, and we had asked for our boxes to be packaged together. All of a sudden I received confirmation that they grabbed my set, but not his. However, when we were invoiced for packaging, the pricing was for both our sets, so I just paid the full amount. It has been marked shipped since last week, but no tracking information yet.
So it is very possible that he has both your sets. Check out the pricing on the shipping invoice and see if it reflects two sets or just one. Good luck!
So when you said I could just have in order shipped to you and then send you a label to pass it on...thats a bad move? This also your case man? We started a group message in case any of ours start moving, I will gladly add you but yeah we are all "processing abroad" and USPS says "Pre-Shipment".
I had more success sending messages on Facebook to BiaB than through email, FWIW. I would suggest sending BiaB a message asking if your set was picked up because you were thinking about having someone else pick it up instead. That way you avoid a scenario where Etre goes and your set is already gone. Plus, it might get BiaB to be more proactive in getting you a link to pay if they want to keep your business.Im glad some of you guys have gotten some communication even if very little. I have yet to receive anything even with 2 follow up emails just to make sure they have everything they need to pick up, I know they have everything just need some sort of response and don't want to be an ass and call them out. If I dont receive any sort of communication by the end of the week im just going to Etre. I have no issue waiting for my stuff to be picked up and shipped, I would at the very least like an acknowledgement/confirmation, anything really.

First time this has ever happened and there are 6 of us here all with the same shipping date that are in the same boat.
Local store w Framboos for $63 and GB for $56. any chance either are worth it?
Nope, even in Belgium they go for almost 40 euro which is about the same as a whole case of 75cl black label GirardinLocal store w Framboos for $63 and GB for $56. any chance either are worth it?
I don't see you landing Framboos for much less. Even having the option to buy it at all seems pretty rare.Local store w Framboos for $63 and GB for $56. any chance either are worth it?
I remember schaarbeekse and 06 doesjel in 750mls shelf turding for months if not years before going on clearance for half off. OG sticker price on the schaarbee was $30 and doesjel was $22. Only ever bought 1 of the kriek but think I still have a doesjel with price sticker on itAll I can say is...remember when dat 3F schaarbeekse Kriek sat on shelves forever because it was ~$45 retail? Neither the GB or the framboos will sit, but it’s not that much more, seeing as how it’s like 7 years or so since the Schaarbeekse release here. Last time Hommage came out here it was the old label version, and I picked one up at retrial for about $50. I believe that was 2016.
It's back, if you really want a to add another glass to your collection that you won't drink Zenne out of.Damn. Just noticed the Zenne glass is sold out on Etre. Not that I would ever have a chance of drinking a Zenne out of it.
